Our biggest tip of all:
While experienced home decorators can install our wallpaper successfully, we strongly recommend using a professional decorator for the best possible finish.

Before installation, carefully inspect all wallpaper panels to ensure there are no issues with the glitter finish or backing. Once the wallpaper has been cut, pasted, or installed, we are unable to accept returns or consider claims on materials that have been processed in any way.

Pro Tip:
Always inspect the full length of each drop before hanging — not just the first metre.


We recommend using Glitter Walls Adhesive exclusively when installing our wallpaper. It has been specifically formulated for our fabric-backed glitter wallpaper to ensure correct adhesion, ease of application, and the best possible finish.

The adhesive is supplied at the correct viscosity and should not be diluted or altered in any way. Please also ensure the room is well ventilated during application and drying.

Pro Tip:
Do not hang into wet adhesive — allow it to go fully tacky for better grab and easier positioning.

Once you have inspected the materials, the next step is to prepare the wall for installation. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth, with no holes, loose material, or dust.

All existing wallpaper should be completely removed, and the wall should be uniform in colour before hanging. We strongly recommend applying a stain blocker or sealer, particularly when installing lighter-coloured wallpapers, to prevent discolouration or bleed-through and to achieve the best final finish.

Pro Tip:
A sealed wall provides more even tack and helps prevent future shade variation.

Before installation, check the wall for the presence of hot water pipes. Poorly insulated pipework can generate heat that may lead to discolouration of the wallpaper over time.

If hot water pipes are present, ensure they are adequately insulated before hanging to protect the finish and maintain the appearance of the wallpaper.

Pro Tip:
If unsure, allow the wall to cool fully before installation you can easily check for the pipe with your hand. If it doesn't burn, you're good to go.

Once all preparation is complete, apply Glitter Walls Adhesive evenly to the wall using a pile roller, with a brush for edges and corners. Allow the adhesive to dry until it becomes tacky to the touch.

Take care to ensure the adhesive does not come into contact with the glitter surface of the wallpaper at any stage of application.

Pro Tip:
Keep hands, tools, and surrounding surfaces clean to avoid transferring adhesive onto the glitter finish.

For best results, we recommend working with lengths of approximately 2.5–3 metres per drop, based on the average wall height. Roll out each length and inspect it again before hanging to ensure there are no issues with the product.

Always hang the wallpaper in the same direction. Hanging in different directions can cause slight variations in shade or appearance. This is a common installation mistake and can be costly to correct.

Hang the wallpaper straight onto the wall, allowing an overlap of approximately 4–5cm at the top and bottom. Once you are satisfied with the position, leave the drop in place for around one hour to allow the adhesive to settle. During this time, you may begin hanging the next length.

Prepare the next drop and butt it carefully against the previous length, aligning the edges so that little to no seam is visible in the finished installation.

Pro Tip:
Mark a true vertical plumb line for the first drop — never rely on corners being square.


Once the wallpaper has set and is dry to the touch (approximately one hour), carefully trim the excess at the top and bottom using a sharp knife for a clean, precise finish.

Change blades frequently — a dull blade can snag the fabric backing or leave rough edges.
